I woke up this morning to find our first snow of the season covering the landscape. It looks like there is about six inches of it, although I didn’t actually measure it. The steps of the ladder I often stand on when I take these pictures were covered with snow.  I was thinking about brushing them off when Becky walked by and suggested I use the ladder, with the snow still on the steps,  as an element in my sunrise picture for the day. Well, darn! She was right. That would make an interesting picture, especially with the snow laden spruce trees in the background. All I had to do was use the onboard flash to brighten the ladder, and it came out pretty good, I think. That was a good idea!

Thanks for the suggestion, Honey.
