Another great sunrise this Sunday morning, although a bit unusual because the best colors developed around 8:40 a.m. That was well before the official sunrise time of 9:58. I was thankful I was keeping a close eye on the sky.
An Annual Christmas Event
Todays post will cover last night’s annual Christmas Dinner for Becky’s place of employment, Valley Chiropractic, Inc. of Wasilla.
Each year Dr. Martin and Cindi host this dinner, for staff and spouses, at their home on Wasilla Lake. A very delicious prime rib dinner, catered by Evangelo’s of Wasilla, is served in the large living room with plenty of hors d’œuvres to tide everyone over until all of the guests arrive.
These special evenings are always enjoyable, and very much anticipated by all.
Last night’s celebration was no exception. There was laughter aplenty. There were hugs and handshakes. And there was good conversation and fellowship with old friends, and a few new acquaintances. I think all of us would agree that it couldn’t have been any better.
Now, I could continue to describe the evening, but I don’t think I will, because it was after midnight before Becky and I returned home, and for some reason I was awake and out of bed at 4:30 this morning.
It’s 10:30 now, and I’m thinking pretty seriously about sneaking back into the house to take a short nap. I’m getting sleeping.
So….I’m just going to show you some pictures. You’ll be able to tell from looking them that all of us enjoyed ourselves. Some of the pictures may look a little silly, maybe goofy, but that’s how we are, sometimes.
Becky and I would like to thank Dr. Martin and Cindi for their generosity and self sacrifice in hosting this special Christmas event each year.
But, more than that, we would like to extend to them a very personal, and heart felt “Thank You”.
Thank you, Jim and Cindi, for sharing your friendship with us through all of these years.
